Whenever these tools are active, your personal data can be transferred to these third countries and processed there. Please note that we cannot guarantee the same degree of data protection as is customary within the EU. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being able to take legal action to prevent this. Therefore it cannot be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. If you have previously given your consent, you can revoke it at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out prior to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and for the purpose of direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR).

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS THAT ARISE FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. AFTER YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE SHALL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR DATA FOR THESE PURPOSES, UNLESS WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF COMPELLING AND LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OUTWEIGH YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE PURPOSE OF EXERCISING, ENFORCING OR DEFENDING OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged breach. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

In the case of data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract, you have the right to have this data transferred to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the data to be transferred directly to another data controller, this will only take place if it is technically feasible.

SSL and TLS encryption

This site uses SSL and TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can ensure that you have an encrypted connection by checking that the browser address field has changed from “http://” to “https://” and that there is a lock symbol in the browser address bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data. Feel free to contact us at any time. You have the right to restrict the processing of your data in the following circumstances:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of the personal data we have stored about you, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification process, you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data.
  • If your personal data has been or is being unlawfully processed, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of the deletion of your data.
  • If we no longer require your personal data, however you need it to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims, you have the right to demand the restriction of processing instead of the deletion of your personal data.
  • If you have filed an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data.

If the processing of your personal data has been restricted, such data shall, with the exception of storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our Internet pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device, either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website features would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart feature or video playback). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertising.

Cookies which are required to perform electronic communication processes or to provide specific functions at your request (e.g. to use a shopping basket) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring website traffic) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR provided that no other legal basis has been specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies in order to ensure the technically error-free and smooth provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TTDSG); this consent can be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide to accept or reject cookies on an individual basis. Alternatively, your browser can automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or always reject them, and you can also tell it to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analytical purposes, you will be separately informed of this in this privacy policy and your consent may be required.

Our website uses CCM19 to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your end device or to the use of certain technologies and to document this consent in compliance with data protection regulations. When you visit our website, a connection is established to the CCM19 servers in order to obtain your consent and other declarations regarding the use of cookies. CCM19 then stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to allocate the consents you have granted or their revocation. The data collected in this way is stored until you request that we delete it, delete the CCM19 cookie yourself or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention requirements remain unaffected.

CCM19 is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sent. 1 lit. c GDPR.

This is an agreement required by data protection law, which ensures that the above-mentioned provider only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

Your personal data is not combined with data from other sources.

If you contact us via the contact form, the information you provide, including your contact details, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up enquiries. We will not share this information without your consent.

5. Analytical tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analysis service, Google Analytics. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In this process, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, duration of visit, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is summarised in a user ID and assigned to the respective web visitor’s end device.

We can also use Google Analytics, among other things, to record your mouse movements, scrolling movements and clicks. Furthermore, Google Analytics uses various modelling approaches to supplement the data records collected and uses machine learning technologies in the data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the user to be recognised for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (Telekommunikation-Telemedien-Datenschutzgesetz, TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. This consent may be withdrawn at any time.

The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find details here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Browser plug-ins

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For further information on how user data is processed, please refer to the Google privacy policy at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order processing

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Storage duration

Data stored by Google at a user and event level that are linked to cookies, user recognition (e.g. user IDs) or advertising IDs (e.g. double-click cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after 2 months. Details can be found on the link: below: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

LinkedIn Insight tag

This website uses the Insight tag from LinkedIn. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Data processing via the LinkedIn Insight tag

With the help of the LinkedIn Insight tag, we receive information about visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can, among other things, analyse our website visitors’ key professional data (e.g. career level, company size, country, location, industry and job title) and thus better tailor our website to the respective target groups. Furthermore, we can use LinkedIn Insight tags to measure whether visitors to our websites make a purchase or undertake any other action (conversion measurement). Cross-device conversion measurement can also be carried out (e.g. from PC to tablet). The LinkedIn Insight tag also offers a retargeting function that allows us to display targeted advertising to visitors to our website outside of the website, whereby, according to LinkedIn, no identification of the advertising addressee takes place.

LinkedIn itself also collects so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties and time of access). The IP addresses are abbreviated or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymised). Direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymised data is then deleted within 180 days.

The data collected by LinkedIn cannot be assigned to specific individuals by us as the website operators. LinkedIn will store the collected personal data of website visitors on its servers in the USA and use it in the context of its own advertising measures. For details, please refer to LinkedIn’s privacy policy athttps://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig

Legal basis

The legal basis for using LinkedIn Insight is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including the use of social media.

You can find details here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.

Objecting to the use of the LinkedIn Insight tag

You can object to the analysis of your usage behaviour as well as targeted advertising by LinkedIn via the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

Furthermore, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To avoid data collected on our website by LinkedIn being linked to your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.

Order processing

We have concluded an order processing agreement with the provider named above. This is an agreement required by data protection law, which ensures that the above-mentioned provider only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

6. Plug-ins and tools

YouTube with enhanced privacy protection

This website integrates videos from YouTube. The website operator is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this means that YouTube does not store information about visitors to this site before they watch the video. However, the enhanced privacy mode does not necessarily exclude the sharing of data with YouTube’s partners. So, regardless of whether you watch a video or not, YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network.

As soon as you start to watch a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is then informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you are allowing YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your end device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to capture video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud.

Where applicable, after a YouTube video is launched, additional data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no control.

We use YouTube in the interests of making our online presence more attractive. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para.

For further information on data protection at YouTube, please view the provider’s privacy policy at:https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Google Web Fonts (local hosting)

To ensure that fonts are presented as uniformly as possible, this website uses “web fonts” which are made available by Google. The Google fonts are installed locally. No connection is established with the Google servers.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

7. Audio and video conferences

Data processing

We use online conference tools to communicate with our customers. The tools we use are listed in detail below. If you communicate with us by video or audio conference via the Internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools collect all data that you provide/enter in order to use the tools (your email address and/or your telephone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants and other “contextual information” related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required for the handling of online communication. This includes in particular IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker as well as the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded or made available in any other way within the tool, it is also stored on the tool provider’s servers. Such content includes in particular cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards and other information that is shared while using the service.

Please note that we do not have full control over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options largely depend on the corporate policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conference tools, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective tools used, which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal basis

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves the general simplification and acceleration of communication with us or our company (legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Insofar as consent has been requested, the tools in question are used on the basis of this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage duration

The data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request that we delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for its storage no longer applies. Cookies stored remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

We have no influence over the retention period for your data, which is stored by the operators of the conference tools for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.
